Hylton Senior High School is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. There is a planetarium located at C.D. Hylton Senior High School which is also used by the schools throughout the county. A.P. Psychology is also offered as an Advanced Placement Course.

The High School offers The Information Technology (IT) Program for interested students. It is a rigorous and challenging course of study for academically and technology motivated students. Forest Park Senior High School is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Additional Clubs offered at the High School include F.B.L.A., D.E.C.A. and a Chess Club. The High School has an Observatory complex which consists of two robotic domes that are mounted to the roof of the High School.
